Star Wars Animated Feature in the works?
Rumor has it that Lucasfilm will debut their new computer animated Star Wars series as a theatrical release this August.
Loose lipped representatives from Hasbro and LEGO were the first to mention the possibility. And Just recently, Time Magazine had an article on Lucasfilm's Singapore Animation Studio, which mentioned that "The Singapore studio will also spearhead Lucasfilm's first animated feature film this year." Lucasfilm representatives didn't outright deny it, saying instead that a theatrical release is just one approach they're looking into for debuting their new TV series.

The movie is official now. August 15th.
It'll be released by Warner Bros. though, so it'll be missing the classic Fox fanfare, but I guess I'll excuse it.
The TV series has a network now, too. It'll air on both Cartoon Network AND TNT sometime in the fall.
