Leo DiCaprio

Ok, he's not to everyone's taste but I can't help myself. I've had a thing for Leo ever since I saw him in "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?"

It's all about that FACE...my lord, it just turns me to mush! emoticon emoticon

I actually find him quite attractive, but only recently. I did not care for him in his younger days. Not so much for his acting, I think......but his attitude seemed rather snobby or something. I love his stuff the last 3 or so years and really enjoyed him in Blood Diamond (course that also had Arnold Vosloo in it..)
But as far as "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?" I had a hard time getting past Johnny Depp.... emoticon

Re: Leo DiCaprio

I hear you on both counts, Queeny. He was too boyish looking for me in his early days, but the older he's gotten the more he's grown into his looks and now...WOOF! emoticon

And it was definitely tough getting past Johnny, that's for sure (another certified hottie!), but I was just sucked in by Leo's performance. Of course, Titanic just nailed it for me, and I LOVED Blood Diamond too, but I have to say my favorite Leo vehicle by far is The Aviator. It's a tough one to watch, but worth it for Leo alone. emoticon

And love those photos from the Vanity Fair shoot. I think I could brave a little Arctic ice for Leo! emoticon

I know that is amazing. What is really great, is that he seems so "grounded and has a good head on his shoulders now".....I can see him being one of those incredible actors who has that "staying power". Like Clint Eastwood, Robert Redford, Harrison Ford........and those folks.. emoticon

He's charming. Positively charming. But I did get that arrogant vibe from him. Maybe he's grown up some.

He does seem to have. And he's using his influence for something that counts.....like the planet.
Other young stars should follow his lead........instead of becoming poop-erazzi fodder! emoticon

I do think he had a big idea of himself at first, but unlike many of the young Hollywood types, he seems to have gotten his act together as he got older. Now, he seems genuinely humble and concerned about things other than himself, which is nice to see.

And I honestly think he's really underrated as an actor. I think his boyish good looks have kept people from taking him seriously.

Totally agree with you on BOTH points there! emoticon
As he ages, he should "grow" into his acting ability! emoticon

I think Leo is a very good actor. As he has matured he has gotten better. I liked him in "The Departed" I really want to see "Catch me if you Can". Didn't make it to tne theater for that one. I will have to queue it to my Blockbuster. Tammie has been on a Leo DiCaprio kick lately.

Re: Leo DiCaprio

I first saw Leo in What's Eating Gilbert Grape? And thought that his character was just amazing, distracted me from the real reason for watching the movie (Johnny, of course!)

Who can forget him as Romeo? And he was the best thing about Titanic, I endured Celine Dion to watch that movie!!

For awhile although I watched his movies I didn't actually find him all that.....but then I watched The Departed and there's something about a guy that displays violence.....*cough*

Then last night I watched Blood Diamonds and the whole movie blew me away. And yes, Leo is once again on my Drool list!

Well, Blood Diamonds was just an awesome movie, simply from a MOVIE stand point, the scenery, the storyline was incredible. But you add Leo and Arnold and the rest of the supporting cast and it becomes beyond just a "movie."
And I have to say.....LEO pulled off that accent perfectly! Gave me the shivers to see him 'morph' into this character.

LOVED Blood Diamond! As you said, Queeny, from a movie standpoint alone that was an extraordinary experience. Just extremely well done. Leo was outstanding as always and Djimon Honsou's performance was just heart wrenching.

And I have to say, Leo was downright sizzling in it emoticon ! Like I said, he's been growing into his looks as he's gotten older.

However, Aims...

The answer is ME! Much as I love Leo, I could not stomach that movie. I thought it was a horrid retelling of a classic tale. Even Leo couldn't save that one. emoticon

Oh girls I just HAVE to tell you something about this guy.

The other night I had the most amazing dream, and Leo was in it! And let's just say the stuff he did to me, well I woke up PANTING!

And trust me, he's not my favorite person in the whole world, I mean he's a sweetie and his performance in Blood Diamond was amazing. And I have NEVER EVER EVER had a dream like that about a celebrity before. But...

Wow. emoticon

And I wasn't thinking of him at all before I went to bed, hadn't watched any movies with him in it, nothing like that. I mean I "woke up" in the dream and THERE HE WAS. And OH....MY.

So anyhow, I thought I'd pull him up from page three to tell you all that, and to put a few more pics up. emoticon

Image

This is how he looked when we were.....er.....getting busy. emoticon

Image

Image

I have no idea wtf he's doing in this image, but I LOVE it! Hilarious!

Image

So needless to say this boy will be on my "obsession list" for quite some time!!! :La:

God bless you for dragging this thread back up...I was missing my Leo!!! Just saw a shot of him on TV last night and just about lost it. God, that face! emoticon emoticon

If you were going to dream about someone, you couldn't have picked anyone better.

I have to admit, I have had dreams like that about celebs before though...but not often. Last one was George Eads. emoticon
