IBM has never made typewriters.

As someone who learned to type on an IBM...MANUAL...this blows my mind!

The really scary part...most of these kids probably don't even know what a typewriter is! emoticon

Changing things is a good start... I was thinking a really young baby wouldn't have been able to use the buttons at all!

His first trip BACK across the United States......from Maryland to Washington State he was almost 4 and to keep him occupied we bought one of "leap pads" (like this, but a much older version!)

We strapped it to his car seat and we also had some other fun stuff. But he played all the way across!
He's loved "electronics" from the beginning.....but what choice did he have.........his DAD is a "GEEK" from waaaaaaaaay back. Was a TV/radio repair man (back when TV'S still had TUBES in them) in high school and went into the Navy as an Electronics Tech....

Oh, he had plenty of those too, when we finally settled down in houses. But with Hubby in the Navy, that poor kid was traveling/moving (hence his action figures and trains, packed up) every summer!

So were we, Queeny...we had neighborhood kickball games and rode our bikes on dirt hills. And we were the only ones in the neighborhood to have a basketball backboard so my brothers and their friends were always playing basketball in our driveway.

Man, those were the days!

We lived in a Union Carbide Mining housing area......about 30 miles from anywhere! There were close to 100 houses there....probably half had kids, another half had more than 2 kids......so we always had games of some such going on baseball, biking (Summer) or sledding, ice skating (Winter) or something.
