I'll start. For me it's people who take credit that isn't due them. I am running into that A LOT lately. If you didn't do the work, don't take bows for it......

OMG! I have to agree with you there!
And my poor hubby gets that all the time, especially from the SALES force....he gets on a conference call with customers, he does all the numbers crunching and all the sales....then the damned Sales person will tell the boss, that he sold that product to that customer........and the SOB did not have a clue what the product even did!!!! emoticon

Been there, had it happen to me.

What annoys me the most are actually 2 things. One is women who are smart but act so stupid because that's what they think men want. And the other is stupid women who think they are smart and only sound ridiculous.

I hear you on the taking credit, bec...drives me nuts!

I'd have to say the top of my list is people who are completely not considerate of others. It only takes an extra few minutes to stop and smile and be polite...why the hell do people have to elbow their way through stores or push you out of the way driving, etc.? I just don't get it.

Okay all have made very valid points and I agree whole heartedly with each of the pet peeves...I've got one that has errrked the d*ckens out of me since they began...

You get a call (Toll free number--there's also one from Texas that pops up on the caller ID)...and a RECORDING COMES ON......

"ALL OUR OPERATORS ARE BUSY PLEASE HOLD FOR THE NEXT AVAILABLE OPERATOR"

Then you sit there for 10 minutes or more then suddenly the line goes dead...(disconnected)...and if you call either number back you get 'Phone company's recording saying the number is not working/out of order or not accepting incoming calls.

have no clue who this Phone number belongs to as they never say...

another peeve is when you get a call and its a recording telling you to press this number that number this number etc. (about 6 times) and then a recording telling you that the operators are busy and either please hold or it ask you to call back..you go through the whole process mainly because they actually pronounced your name correctly...but still when its all said and done you still DON'T KNOW who the H is calling.

Well, Granny.....NEVER worry about those calls and NEVER press any numbers!
Hubby works in a business where they install phones and computer systems for big company's. And when you get a call from a "recorded" machine it's just some company 'testing' to see if you are a valid customer. IN OTHER words, they will run MILLIONS of numbers through that call center and a computer so as NOT to waste a "real Persons" time, as they cost the company money. But once you answer and/or do the bidding....it goes into they're records as a real person and someone might call back, trying to sell you some crap. Or it goes into a "CALL LIST"....there are company's whose ONLY job is to have computers call and if a person answers....they hang up......and enter your name into they're "LISTS"....then they will sell those "LISTS" to other company's who then have they're salesmen call you!

And Occasionally.......scammers will call you and have you enter numbers....then the line goes dead, but the numbers you have entered CAN ACTUALLY give them access to your phone line and they can then make calls all over the world.....and YOU will get the BILL! So watch your phone bill.
I used a cheap phone from Wal*mart when we lived in a house with a land line, that had a message recorder on it. You can let those numbers that you don't know "GO TO" the message machine. And YOU CAN HEAR the message as they record it. THE computers will leave a "computer generated" message or the spammer's will hang up....
If it's someone important, you can simply pick up the phone and say HI and talk to them... emoticon

All of those things are so annoying. But here's another one I've just started realizing annoys the hell out of me. It's people who know you don't feel well and are trying to sleep but are still loud as hell. My roommate and her husband came home Friday night and woke me up without so much as an I'm sorry. I was so angry I flipped out on them and went to my room.
