What 2 million dollars on wheels looks like!

This rig pulled into our resort, the RV is a Provost (close to a 45 footer) and with the amenities it ALONE cost close to ONE and A HALF MILLION dollars!
Then you add that enclosed double decker car carrier and the LEXUS all PAINTED TO MATCH....and Hubby says you are looking at almost 2 MILLION dollars... emoticon
Just goes to show ya, we are NOT the craziest people out here!! emoticon
(Sorry the pics are kind of dark...it was getting toward evening and I was trying to NOT be real obvious!) emoticon

If it's what makes them happy I say go for it. I never begrudge those that have money for enjoying it. I know I sure would. :)

I don't begrudge them the purchase of their RV...it's their money, they have a right to spend it any way they want.

It's just kind of stunning to comprehend a 2 million dollar RV! But to each their own.

Oh I don't begrudge them having that kind of money.....I swear if we ever win a huge-O monster lottery, we WILL have a super fancy RV! The are simply put together better. REAL ceramic tile, Corianne Countertops, real Oak, Maple or Cherry wood cabinets.....stuff like that. So they last forever! Also have bigger stronger Catapillar diesel engines the same as Truckers have...

I was just amazed at being able to SEE one and to have the trailer and car all painted to match.......was AWESOME!

Like Hubby said, we spent alot on this rig, but it's OUR HOUSE. It's not like we have a home and a huge expensive RV too. We had to sell our real house. This is our $150,000.00 HOUSE. It just happens to move! emoticon

A rolling house is a great idea Queeny. When the bill collectors show up, just put it in drive and GO. :stjacket:

I don't see why you couldn't drive all the way down there but I am not sure I would want to as it would take forever! Flying would be a much better option.

I agree that it is a house on wheels and I suppose that in this financial climate it is probably a better investment than as house.

Re: What 2 million dollars on wheels looks like!

Yeah Ryan....could you see those drug lords letting THAT rig through they're territory!! emoticon

Actually, MEL....these are not really as good a financial investment as a house. Because they are "vehicles", they lose value the minute you drive one off the lot....
That rig above, (just the RV itself) was around 1 1/2 million (depending on the options) as it sat on the lot. But the minute they drove off the lot, it probably lost between 30 and 40,000 thousand dollars of worth. emoticon

Hubby and I did better than that, as the one we bought was already a year old and had 7,000 miles on it. SO, someone else already lost on it, and when he traded it in with those few problems and did not care how much they gave him for it (so they gave him waaaay UNDER blue book or way under what it's worth)....they could then turn around and sell it to us, really low and still make some money on it themselves. Thanks to the crappy economy, they were willing to take much less for it.

We actually PAID less for it, than it's worth, if we wanted to sell it again. That is why we jumped on that deal! emoticon
