Re: OCTOBER CHATTER! (start on Wednesday)
well its October, sure feels that way outside.
When I picked up Iron Man I also picked up Ultimate Avengers, an animated film from Marvel, and A graphic Novel called Superman: Birthright, its a retelling of Superman's origin
I will likely watch Iron Man Wednesday and then the Sopranos, should finish those so I can send them back

Re: OCTOBER CHATTER! (start on Wednesday)
After having a weekend of wonderful sunshine, walking around in sleeveless tops and getting a nice tan (although a tan for me is more like a egg shell type colour), and then coming home to rain, wind and a definite Autumn type chill in the air, I am glad that our central heating was fixed before we went away!!!

Yeah.....I'll bet it was a shock to your system! At least you have a little "color" to last you for a bit into Fall.
How are your Boyz? You did pick them up yesterday, right?
As for me today
Not a clue! (no smart remarks about being 'clueless' either! )
Might clean.......might not. Might try to work on a Halloween skin, but the WiFi here sucks.....times out in the middle of damn near every post. Don't need to be in the middle of html and have it go..
SO......I'll just play it by ear...

Re: OCTOBER CHATTER! (start on Wednesday)
Happy October everyone.
Today has been chilly, there's a strong breeze that makes it feel a lot cooler...but our Thermometer says it's 72 outside (feels more like the 50s).
Not much going on, just kicking back working on hubby's and mine MS and doing a little work on the Anthology...

Re: OCTOBER CHATTER! (start on Wednesday)
BECKY, I hope you've had a good day's work, dear ..... and you could play!
SUE, I trust you've enjoyed with piano lessons Well you've completed your articles, dear.
TANYA, I trust that your day's work, has been quiet.
GRANNY I am glad that everything is going so well, with the MS .... I hope that soon, you can finish your book, dear.
My dear QUEENY I am sorry, that the WiFi you are giving, so many problems.
I hope you've managed to perform your tasks, sister quote: THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! For making the October chat......
No problem!
I can not do anything. .....After noon, we had a big storm with strong winds, lots of rain, and much hail,..... now, after so many hours, yet got hail in the yard.
My Mom and my Aunt, do not remember something similar. The courtyard was totally white, with almost 4 fingers high ,..... seemed beautiful pearls ,.... I have never seen a spectacle so beautiful.
Of course, my yard is a disaster, which literally blew chairs, broken plants, the awning has fallen by the weight of hail accumulated in it.
Working for tomorrow: clean and sort the yard! :havefun:
Street a few blocks from home
Yard of a neighbor, after several hours of completion, the storm

Re: OCTOBER CHATTER! (start on Wednesday)
My dear QUEENY I hope you've had a good and enjoyable day, sister
My awning, is not torn, has only fallen by the weight of the hail ,.... but that of my sister, is completely broken.
So far, they have not predicted new storms ,.... but according to forecasters, today, there would be no rain ... so it is not safe, that does not happen again.
Tomorrow, I see, what is the harm in my yard
SEE YOU TOMORROW!!!

Re: OCTOBER CHATTER! (start on Wednesday)
Mariel...please be safe hon and don't over work yourself...be sure to save the heavier lifting for when the boys are home (especially Jose).
Right now its almost 2 am hubby is watching the original King Kong and I just came in from one of my walks (at night I stick to the driveway and I carry a flashlight). The Temp has dropped drastically it's 48 degrees outside and the chill factor brings it down closer to mid 30s....time to bring out the coats.

Re: OCTOBER CHATTER! (start on Wednesday)
Hello all
Watched Iron Man today, also watched the Brewers, they lost but it was close. Should win tomorrow's game. The Cubs also lost. Tonight I saw Pushing Daisies, Ghost Hunters and Destination Truth tonight.
Tomorrow is Show Choir, I'll also record Smallville and Supernatural. May watch Ultimate Avengers before, its a short film, 70 minutes so it wouldn't be to long.
Anyway have fun

Re: OCTOBER CHATTER! (start on Wednesday)
GOOD THURSDAY MORNING GANG! HAPPY OCT. 2nd.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUE! WE ARE HAVING A PARTY IN THE EVENTS ROOM......
Good Morning POOH!
quote: I'm working and was suppose to go out with a friend but now that I have a kid I wasnt suppose to I have to stay home, bummer!
Oh, DANG! That is too bad....hopefully it's not "demon child"
BTW.......I LOVE your new Halloween siggy....OMG!
I hope you have a good day anyways and thanks for the laugh!
Good Morning BECKY
It sounds to me like you are having the "perfect" Fall day! If I was you, I'd sneak out for lunch ....even if it's just a sandwich on an outside bench... Have a good one Lady!
Good Morning Mariel!
I am so very glad that they awning did not get torn up. We have awnings on the RV, and we have to make sure they are in (rolled up) if it rains heavy, or the winds pick up.
It's too bad that your Sister's awning got broken.
At 44 degrees, it's going to take a while for that much hail to melt!
Sure hope you can salvage some of your plants and containers..
Most definitely be careful. Those meteorologists can't predict much of anything, if you ask me!
Make sure you don't hurt your back working in the yard today.
HI YA RYAN......I watched the Brewer's game. They played pretty well and it was close. I hope they do better today. Who do they have pitching today?
We should be renting Iron Man today.
Have a good time at show Choir tonight!
HI YA GRANNY
quote: I just came in from one of my walks (at night I stick to the driveway and I carry a flashlight). The Temp has dropped drastically it's 48 degrees outside and the chill factor brings it down closer to mid 30s....time to bring out the coats.
WHOA!!! That is a bit of a 'cool down'...I'll bet you were walking a little more briskly!
I love walking at night........especially when the moon is out! In high school when I ran on the cross-country team, I'd go out running at night....really a surreal experience....
Anywho......enjoy your day, with temps like that...are you making SOUP for dinner?
AS FOR ME TODAY......would you believe we are STILL waiting on another Bank for the RV loan. YEP.......the dealer dropped his price on the Newer one we want, and gave us MORE for our old one (it looks like the economic crunch hit them to, they are not selling and need to)......so they sent in the paperwork to Bank Of America (who actually called US, and negotiated the price....weird, but they are going through credit applications very carefully now)... IT LOOKS.....like we might have it now....But like I told Hubby,
I am NOT getting excited again, until I am actually sitting in the dealership's parking lot, transferring my stuff over to the other RV!
So, come MONDAY when I sign back in again........I might have some good news for you all!
Keep your fingers crossed.

Everyone else Hi !!!!
Me.... a friend from church asked if I could crochet a sweater for a baby at church (the Bishop's youngest daughter--4 months old) if she supplied the yarn...I found a really cute pattern on the internet and printed it up (I had some pink and lilac yarn left over from the baby blanket I made for the precious little bundle so | |
