Cool! I want one!

Breathing is important! If you don't breathe, your sound will deteriorate, your phrasing will suffer, and you will die.

So do I! Although first I'd like to be able to make a nice sound out of my oboe ...

Apparently they'e thinking of making piccolo heckelphones again! Those are little high-pitched heckelphones that play a fourth higher than an oboe. I can't imagine the sound. emoticon

Wow!!! I found somewhere that said about all the different flutes (can't remember where though, sorry) and found it fascinating that they have piccolo in F and ones with weird names emoticon

The flute d'amour is my favorite flute. It's pitched a minor third lower than the standard flute, and has a rather mournfull sound ( rather like the way an oboe d'amore sounds compared to the ordinary oboe ).

I missed the continuation of this topic somehow.. I think. I don't know.

Man, I need to start practicing my oboe real soon. I haven't this entire Thanksgiving break, and I have my jury in under 2 weeks. Ack! Wish me luck!
