Re: Why do you play the trombone? That would have helped me a lot in my last piece because, not sure if it was noticed but there was stuff on the conductor's score that wasn't on the actual parts, hehe, I forget to update the parts to the score, whoops! Maybe I'll upgrade to version 4 this Christmas
Re: Why do you play the trombone? And I also read on sibelius.com that there si this feature where you have short video segments from tv and such and you have timecode and can write music for them. That would be fun
Re: Why do you play the trombone? Yeah, I read about all those features. But Sib 2 is far better than Sib 1, so it could be worse. (I have Sib 2) At school we have Sib 3 because we don't have enough money for Sib 4 - we've just got some shiny new Macs with Garage band and Logic on them
WARNING - never try to compose using either of the two above programmes. They are RUBBISH!!!

Re: Why do you play the trombone? Yeah, Garage Band isn't a great composer's tool. Good if you just want to string some sample loops together, though.
I've never used Logic. Heard of it, though.

Re: Why do you play the trombone? I've heard it lets you create your own loops, and apparently you can also notate the loops once you've created them. No good for any remotely orchestrated piece though.

Re: Why do you play the trombone? Garage band and such, I'm pretty sure to be mroe use for ringtones than music writing. I am getting Sibelius 4 for xmas I get this $99 upgrade special offer thingy. i'm so happy. I've read you can make your scores into mp3 files as well as the playback and all is far greater I can't wait
Re: Why do you play the trombone? O wow, cool! Enjoy it, and think of us here with Sib 2 :P
