Make it yourself- the yamophone!
The other day I was reading that any material could be made into a brass instrument. This gave me an idea . I went around the house looking for things to make into brass instruments, but nothing quite worked.
Until I noticed a Yam in the kitchen .
I carved it into a rudimentry horn shape, and sure enough: it worked!
I could play six harmonics, admitedly six rather farty sounding harmics, but that's not the point.
Try it out yourself- great fun, and if you flap your hand in front of the bell you can produce the weirdest sounds!

Re: Make it yourself- the yamophone!
having said that, we have a shower-head that plugs onto the taps. I decided to see what that would sound like because the bits that go onto the taps are similar to rubber trombone mouthpieces. My embouchure isn't flexible enough for brass, but it was still fun!
