Ebay hmm .. know what I hate??? when people start something on ebay for like $0.01 or $1.00 and have a buy it now price or reserved price of like a thousand dollars ... why can't they have the starting price closer to what they'll really let it sell for?!?!?! yeah .. makes me mad..
Re: Ebay I don't use ebay. I've heard the instruments sold on there are often fakes. Also I onced discovered a gift I gave to somebody being resold on ebay! I was really upset by that
Re: Ebay aww .. yeah, that would upset me too!
well, actually, I got (my parents got) the oboe that I have now off of ebay, and we sold my student model on ebay as well .. there's two that were what they were said to be But yeah .. always have to look with caution on things like instruments
Re: Ebay well I use ebay quite a bit but I just got jibed $7 by some sob who for 2months ignored a dozen emails and never sent it! He even had good reviews! BUt ya, good thing it was only $7

Re: Ebay My friend got a Marigaux oboe from eBay for about £1500 which would have cost him £4000 new. The only needed a bit of work costing £100-ish so overall it was an amazing bargain. It's old too so sounds better than a new one. And my viola was from eBay, though I was just desperate fo a cheap 16" one so we settled for a Stentor (which is actually labelled as a violin inside!) ... bad move, but hey. Nothing wrong with eBay in our experience.
Oh yeah, and with sellers who don't send you the thing you have to phone them too before complaining to eBay. You never know, they could have died!

Re: Ebay I've only used E-bay once and it was simply to get Dungeons and Dragons rulebooks because they are completely unreasonably priced usualy. It worked very well actualy, though I don't think I'd be brave enough to use it for anything more than 100$
Re: Ebay You can get just about anything from eBay - including tractors! My Mum's into this dichroic glass stuff which she can get for about £6 on average - it goes fo £30 in shops!

Sorry! It's just the way I imagined you saying it ...
