I voted for opera and classical instrumental. Err... I didn't quite get how opera was seperate from classical vocal ( non-vocal opera? ).
Re: What is your favourite musical style? I was using classical vocal to mean things like lieder and other vocal traditions that are seperate from opera.
Grinch: yes, blues is seperate from jazz. If you don't say something nice soon I will smite you.
Re: What is your favourite musical style? I'm not big on lieder simply because I don't like the piano ( yes, strange I know ). If lieder was with an orchestra instead I think I'd like it. Or even if it was with other instruments.
Re: What is your favourite musical style? There are songs with orchestra- we studied Brahms' Rhapsody for alto and orchestra in Theory this year; it is a beautiful piece of music.
