Re: Why do you play the flute? I play the flute because I wanted to play the piccolo I didn't want to do the flute, and just do piccolo, but my band director told me I had to do the flute first, and I did and did well so he let me use the piccolo I play very well now, but I don't like the flute because it's too quiet and the piccolo because it's too shrilly and ear-deafenning! lol.
Re: Why do you play the flute? I picked flute because it was the only one left. When I started got completely hooked and now it has been a year. I recently started oboe and I like it even more than flute
Re: Why do you play the flute? Lol, I wish my sister had any desire to learn a musical instrument (she sings), then I could play it while she isn't around
Re: Why do you play the flute? True - that'd be cool

Re: Why do you play the flute? The flute was the instrument I originally wanted to play, but the clarinet was the only one the school didn't have sent away for repairs, so I got it.
--- Breathing is important! If you don't breathe, your sound will deteriorate, your phrasing will suffer, and you will die.
Re: Why do you play the flute? I missed my flute audition at school so went along for the clarinet instead. Huh - the school would never have sent off an instrument to be repaired! My clarinet's bottom joint would drop off if I didn't hold it in!
