Information about yourselves
I think we need a thread where we put all the basic details of ourselves... just so it's all in one place. Any new members and existing ones should fill in the information. Just skip any questions that you don't want to answer.
Name: Rachel
Date of Birth: December 19th, 1983
Where were you born: Auckland, NZ
Where are you now?: Brisbane, QLD, Australia
Are you studying?: Yes, I am halfway through a music degree, majoring in composition.
What is your job?: Self-employed music teacher. I teach the clarinet, piano, saxophone and violin.
What is your main instrument?: The CLARINET!
What other instruments do you play?: saxophone, piano, violin, viola, recorder, bagpipes, bugle, slide whistle, harmonica, tin whistle.
What is your favourite instrument?: The clarinet. Then the oboe, bassoon, cello, viola and French horn in no particular order.
What is your least favourite instrument?: The flute.
What music do you listen to?: Mostly classical. My favourite music is from the Early Romantic and Modern periods. I also like some metal and progressive rock.
What are your interests?: music, psychology, train timetables, art, reading, chaos theory, collecting rocks and shells, music, and music.
What do you want to do with your life?: Become a professional composer and clarinettist, continue teaching, and possibly become a research psychologist.
Favourite book: I can't choose.
Favourite artwork: I don't have one favourite, but I like Expressionism, Surrealism, and anything that uses distortions of perspective, multiple perspectives or optical illusions.
Favourite movie: Donnie Darko.
What do you look like?: Average height and weight, olive skin, dark brown hair, hazel eyes.
How did you find out about my BBoard?: I made it, dummy.
Anything else?: Not today.

What is your job?: Part-time butcher
What is your main instrument?: Piano
What other instruments do you play?: Guitar, bass, some percussion
What music do you listen to?: Mostly symphonic goth rock or singer/songwriter that uses piano.
What are your interests?: MUSIC!!! philosophy, physics, is watching tv an interest...?
What do you want to do with your life?: Professional musician!!! Maybe be in a band or compose or something.
Favourite book: "The Vanished Man" by Jeffrey Deaver
Favourite artwork: Nothing in particular, anything that uses dark colours and themes.

Where are you now?: Sitting in this chair ... in Tingrith, Bedfordshire (England)
Are you studying?: Ja, I'm taking Music, Maths, German and Chemistry A levels.
What is your job?: I haven't found one worth it yet.
What is your main instrument?: violin and viola I guess.
What other instruments do you play?: clarinet, bcl, any other cl if you give it to me, piano, sort-of oboe and sort-of cello. And I remember how to play recorder, and I'd give sax a good go if you let me have one ...
What is your favourite instrument?: cor anglais, oboe d'amore, viola, cello, oboe ... actually, just about any if it's played extraordinarily well.
What is your least favourite instrument?: French horn - it gives me the weirdest and worst harmonics of all the orchestral instruments. Which means I can identify it though ...
What music do you listen to?: All of that which falls under the umbrella of 'Classical' but I love baroque slightly more. Only slightly now though.
What are your interests?: Music, things to do with audiology, music, tap-dancing, music, random medical conditions as and when they decide to interest me, music, autism, music, knowing which lessons my friends have when (so their timetables, in effect,) music, other stuff when it takes my fancy, music.
What do you want to do with your life?: Become a peripatetic instrumental teacher, get baptised and spread the Good News of Jehovah's Kingdom; and to be a good person. I'd also like to sort my head out!
Favourite book: I'm not sure I have one.
Favourite artwork: I like romantic scenes of snowy lanes; dark skies with a full moon; autumn or frosty days. Basically scenes of nature.
Favourite movie: Shrek 2 I suppose if I had to choose - holds memories of events around the time I saw it.
What do you look like?: 5'5 1/2", blue eyes, blonde hair, average weight (8 - 8 1/2 stone)

Are you studying?: Yup, I am in grade 9 in high school
What is your job?: I don't have one, unless you count being in the school plays which takes up just about all my time.
What is your main instrument?: Oboe!
What other instruments do you play?: Flute, guitar, and I can still sort of play clarinet
What is your favourite instrument?: Whichever is played the best
What is your least favourite instrument?: The drums
What music do you listen to?: BROADWAY!!!, classical and Arrogant Worms
What are your interests?: Being in plays, playing music

What is your job?: I'm a cashier at the grocery store
What is your main instrument?: HAUTBOIS!!! Yes .. hot boys are my instruments
What other instruments do you play?: keyboard, recorder, flute, clarinet, fife, piccolo, marimba, melodica
What is your favourite instrument?: The oboe, then all the other double reeds, then the marimba, then the French horn, and a few others after that ..
What is your least favourite instrument?: The clarinet - no, probably the saxophone
What music do you listen to?: Classical .. and thenrandom stuff when I'm bored.
What are your interests?: Music, oboe, oboism, sports, mathematics
