Re: Corinne! Viola! Well, bows aren't really expensive, depending on the bow of course! Don't let some music-store type convince you that you need a mother of pearl on the frog for example. As for shipping, I'm not sure, I'll have to see.
However, I can't quite make any promises yet on the viola. She may say no, in which case I'm really sorry.
Re: Corinne! Viola! Having done the calculation of the shipping cost... yikes... it would be much cheaper to rent one.
For the amount it would cost to ship it I could pay for my viola rent for three years! And I'm sure you can find some music store near you that rents violas ( or violin or 'cello if you'd want to play something different ).
So maybe that would be better?
