Hypothetical Question
If the 4 of them got together again and toured, would they include any post-Wall material in the show?

Re: Hypothetical Question
Well, The Eagles did....but then, the Eagles reunion was kind of unusually peaceful for a band reunion in which the members had been particularly bitter towards one another. It's really hard to imagine Roger and Dave onstage doing "Perfect Sense" together. I don't know much about Dave's taste in music but from what I do know, Roger went in a totally different direction musically after his departure from Floyd.
It's a little easier for me to imagine Roger and Dave doing Dave's "Smile" (except for the fact that Roger's so darn obstinate that I honestly don't think he'd ever do it.
--- I'd like some pie.....and no crust, please!

Re: Hypothetical Question
i think so, if they can overcome the wall that is between them now, i think the music is what will pull them back together. i think roger would love to play some of the newer floyd tunes anyway. i think a tune like high hopes is right up his ally. your friend in floyd, bodeaga

Re: Hypothetical Question
after hearing Dave's BBC interview (I'm adding it to my share) from March 3, he doesn't even think he can swallow making an album with Roger(the only way he said PF would tour again.), let alone trying to get him to play "Someone else's" music from the "other" Pink Floyd(in Roger's eyes). He may agree to one or two of Dave's songs, though, and I really hope they would. I doubt Roger would sing on much of it, though.

Re: Hypothetical Question
It sure would be awesome to see Pink Floyd tour again...I saw them a couple times in Wisconsin. What a good time. If they did tour again and didn't play any post war songs I would not be disapointed at all...Seems like Floyd should balance it's act from all the dark drudgery and frost the pie with some creative songs about the developement of a new ark and covenent with creation...Though echoes echoes and how can it get much more angelic than a million embasadores of morning...or whatever...upbeat is the progression of the day...eh? Anyway, what Post War Era songs?

Re: Hypothetical Question
M, isn't that what Dave's been doing throughout his carreer? Playing Rog's songs mostly...
I think that maybe, they'd play some songs they also put on the Echoes compilation disc, like sorrow. But in all honesty Rog's solo work would fit in better with the old stuff than Dave's.
--- Just think of me as one you'd never figure...
