The romance of the AUD I'd like to drink a toast to wonderful AUDs - a lot of people focus on SBDs (or alleged SBDs) - but the reality is less simple. I've heard plenty SBDs that are dry and sterile, recorded from the desk onto cassette at some ****ty show, with the guitars all DI'd and the vocals too loud. Sure, you can hear everything they're playing clearly, but nothing else. When you go to a show you hear all kinds of things, a wall of sound reaches your brain that has been magicked up between the desk and your brain resonating from the PA, around the hall and in your ears. You don't get that on a SBD, but you get it all on a good AUD!
