Welcome To Shadow Den
The heat scorches, it cuts sharply through the air. The soil is burning. The volcano rumbles in the distance, the lava is boiling. It might burst any second now. Be careful.

Help Guide, Read First

Well, as I'm pretty sure you're all aware of now, this is a wolf RPG. Please read this guide before playing ><

Pack

>Joining a Pack
To join a pack, you must first create your wolf. After that, go into the territory of the pack you wish to join. Start a new thread announcing your arrival, and somehow in a "wolf-like" way, say that you want to join the pack. Don't just say something like,
"let me join your pack, i'll be good!!!"

Make it interesting... pretend that you're a wolf (or in other cases that you're narrating the actions of your wolf), and speak like a wolf. For example, a better way to say that you want to join a pack would be more like, "Tris carefully approached the pack. There scent grew stronger with each step, and with each step he grew more and more worried. Would they accept him? This scrawny, homeless, wolf. He howled, and waited for a reply."

Okay, so that sucked, but I'm half awake so I can't do much better xD But you get the point. Act like a wolf. Other pack members may introduce themselves to the stranger and stuff, but only the Alpha may decide if the newcomer may join the pack. The acceptance must also be wolf-like, don't just say, "Accepted," because that's such a dull and sad word.

>Creating a Pack
If you're interested in creating a pack, first go to the "Create a Pack" boards. There, make a little "profile" for your future pack. The profile must be professional like, and have full info about your pack. If it's not interesting, chatspeak, or a whole bunch of dumb things on it, then don't expect us to accept the pack.

If we do accept your pack, we'll create a special board just for your pack! Isn't that great? xD But that also brings on a whole bunch of responsibilities... will you stay active? You can't leave members wanting to join waiting for a year. If not, then just send one of the staff a message, and we'll delete your pack. However, if you accept the responsibilities and consequences of being a pack leader, then now create these threads in your own, nice, happy, new board ^^

Pack Territories - List your pack's territories. You have to have 2 basic ones, if you don't, we'll give them to you. A basic territory is like Grasslands, Desert, Forest, etc. Those ones with -alot- of area that can be claimed. Your 3rd, and last territory can be any of your choice! Just choose one, and we'll give it to you emoticon That is, only if there's still available spots open there! If there aren't, just find a different area to claim.

Pack Rankings - Here list all the rankings in your pack, Alphas, Betas, Normal, Omegas, whatever else you want. Just don't put too many, or too little. We have the right to edit them.

>Rankings
There are 5 rankings in a pack. Listed from highest rank to lowest; the Alphas, Betas, Hunters/Fighters, Normal members, and the Omegas. When you first join a pack, you start out in the Normal stage, that is unless you've created the pack. You can then fight, or gain the respect to move you up emoticon Either that, or if the pack or Alpha sees you have a special trait that would serve you well as a different ranking, then they'll give you a different rank other than a "Normal". No member can start out being an Alpha though, other than the pack creater.

>Move Up
To move up to a better ranking, challenge a member of the pack that's the next stage after you. If there isn't anyone in that slot yet, then you're going to have to ask the Alphas for permission in moving up. If they agree, then you may. There's also another way too, if you do good deeds for the pack and gain everyone's respect, you may ask your Alpha if you're allowed to move up a rank. If they agree, then they will then post a new thread with a poll in it, asking if everyone else agrees in the decision. If majority rules, then the requester will move up one rank emoticon

>Fighting
Fighting must be fair, after a while one of the fighters must admit defeat. In a fight, you can't just say that your opponent died or something. Both opponents must agree on a move, and what happens afterward. If it doesn't end fast enough, then I'll take the matter into my own hands... >:]

Territories

>Claiming Territory
Every pack starts out with 3 territories. 3, and only 3. 2 basic ones, and 1 of the leader's choice. How do you claim more? You either fight another pack for one of their areas, or if you're the leader, you can prove your pack for new territory. For every 5 more members you gain, you may "mark" another territory. This must be done by starting a new thread in the territory that you want, and there post for example that you marked it by leaving your mark on a tree or something. And, as usual, make it interesting. Then add your new territory to your pack's territory list.

In a fight for territory between 2 packs, only the Alphas and Betas may start a fight. One pack must go into another's board, and post there declaring war. If the members on the pack that you're in agree, then they may join in to help you fight, as may the opponent pack. If your pack loses, then you must give up one of your own areas, but if they lose, then you get a new area added to your pack! emoticon It can be any one of theirs. A pack may not have 0 territories, so if they only have 1 left, a fight cannot be started.
