Re: Night Fishing Permits
As far as i am aware, there has been no change to the rules - ie Only night permit holders are allowed to be present at the airman pit and willington lake during the hours that define night fishing (ie no guests or visitors, whether fishing or not).
Therefore, if you are taking children to the lake during the hours of darkness (whether they are fishing or not) they will need a night permit, which also means they would need to be a member of the club.

Re: Night Fishing Permits
Robby, as Biggus Diccus has stated in his answer, there are no changes to either the Night Permit rules or the cost of either the new membership card or night permit. Adult full memberships are £55.00, Junior tickets are £15.00, adult Night Permits are £40.00 and Junior Night Permits are £20.00. The only thing that has changed this year regarding Junior members is the upper age limit which has been brought in line with the Environment Agency ages for a rod licence. juniors aged 12 to 17 require a junior rod licence, therefore the junior membership book is available to youngsters up to the age of 17.

Re: Night Fishing Permits
Shame the night permit is still going to be in place despite the loss of the two biggest fish on Willington. Other clubs offer better value for money even when charging a night ticket, I can't afford the Shefford ticket plus night permit in the current climate so I guess I will have to join another club

Re: Night Fishing Permits
yeah i think thats what im going to have to do i cant see any problem with taking a child with you. I mean my daughter loves to come fishing with me and i take her to alot of day ticket lakes aswell and i dont have to spend a penny for her to fish and when i night fish she brings her rods in and goes to bed and thats it she dont run around like a yob shes only 6 lol. and i would have thought with the current climet as things are people are going to find it very hard to re-new there books i now know of 4 people that are not going to re-mew this year. I think its a shame that the clubs ended up like this with alot of un happy people

Re: Night Fishing Permits
It is a big shame! I couldn't afford to buy the night ticket this year and really miss night fishing on Willington for the bream and tench. I am going to have a month at having a go for the tench on Broom then that's it:-/ I am a member of two clubs, have been for a couple of years now and the other one doesn't charge for night fishing. It's a no brainer, they never have any trouble, they have always had very good bailiffs though that nip any trouble in the bud and in the 5 years I have been fishing with them I have never seen any trouble. I can only afford one book now so will go with the one that allows me to night fish with no extra cost!

Re: Night Fishing Permits
Just return your old night permit with your application with another photo. If you try and remove your old photo from the night permit you will most likely damage the photo.
