Work party dates 2009
Any idea about work party dates for early 2009?
I appreciate Nigel doesn't have internet access. Be good to get a heads up on dates, though.
Oh - Nigel - if you have ventured into the 21st century and Santa has given you access to the net, DON'T FORGET THE BL**DY CHAINSAW

Re: Work party dates 2009
The problem is with Nigel and the chainsaw, it just means more work for us mere mortals to do tidying up all his off cuts!!!!! Remember Broom????

Ah, the sound of the chainsaw and the smell of smoke billowing over the fresh washing in Langford....
Is this the first sign of spring?

Re: Work party dates 2009
Nigel and a chainsaw . . . . . . Friday 13th comes to mind . . . . . .
I'm looking to be there this coming Sunday.
From what I can gather we should be safe as the work doesn't involve the saw. . . . .
. . . so I'm told!

Come off it Avalon. . . you have been to enough work parties to know the CHAINSAW ALWAYS comes out!!! It wouldn't be a work party unless Nigel cuts something down!!!!!

Re: Work party dates 2009
Perhaps there is a wannabe lumberjack trying to express himself.
All together now.....
Lumberjack Song
I'm a lumberjack, and I'm okay.
I sleep all night. I work all day.
Mounties : He's a lumberjack, and he's okay.
He sleeps all night and he works all day.
I cut down trees. I eat my lunch.
I go to the lavatory.
On Wednesdays I go shoppin'
And have buttered scones for tea.
Mounties: He cuts down trees. He eats his lunch.
He goes to the lavatory.
On Wednesdays he goes shopping
And has buttered scones for tea.
Chorus : I'm (He's) a lumberjack, and I'm (he's) okay.
I (He) sleep(s) all night and I (he) work(s) all day.
I cut down trees. I skip and jump.
I like to press wild flowers.
I put on women's clothing
And hang around in bars.
Mounties : He cuts down trees. He skips and jumps.
He likes to press wild flowers.
He puts on women's clothing
And hangs around in bars?!
Chorus : I'm (He's) a lumberjack, and I'm (he's) okay.
I (He) sleep(s) all night and I (he) work(s) all day.
I cut down trees. I wear high heels,
Suspendies, and a bra.
I wish I'd been a girlie,
Just like my dear Mama (or Papa in later versions)
Mounties : He cuts down trees. He wears high heels,
Suspendies, and a bra?!
Chorus : I'm (He's) a lumberjack, and I'm (he's) okay.
I (He) sleep(s) all night and I (he) work(s) all day.
Yes, I'm (He's) a lumberjack, and I'm (he's) ok-a-y.
I (He) sleep(s) all night and I (he) work(s) all day.

Re: Work party dates 2009
On second thoughts, maybe I won't be going . . . . . . (glad I had the speakers turned down!)
. . . we'll have to have someone on chainsaw watch, just in case Nigel gets carried away and starts trying to chop down what has just been put up. . . . .
. . . . maybe the term 'Tasmanian Devil' would be a bit more appropriate . . . .
. . . . . . LOOK OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Work party dates 2009
Count yourself lucky Avalon, Nigel doesn't come on the forum. . . I think you should be safe Sunday morning, unless someone else tells him you are insinuating he dresses up in womens clothing and hangs round bars!!!!!!! Better take a pocketful of fivers to bribe people with!!
Hopefully I will be there, if its quiet at work on Saturday night and I can get my head down for a couple of hours, if its busy then unfortunately I won't be able to make it and I will miss all the fun as Nigel chases you round the lake with the chainsaw revving its nu*s off!!
