Re: Work party dates 2009
NO!!!!!!!!
Thats the cover well and truly blown now! I thought I would have at least a couple of months to recover from the horrendous injuries I suffered last weekend.
Honestly Nigel, I thought you were joking when you said you wanted a million sticks all the same size from the island to help with a certain members fire starting . . . . . .
. . . . it wasn't my fault I kept losing count and had to go back and start from '1' again!
The pity is though andyk74, whilst I may have made it to the safe house, I was given the wrong key so haven't actually managed to get in yet!! With the night time temperatures as they are sleeping in the shed - which incidently has a broken window - isn't much fun I can assure you!

Re: Work party dates 2009
Would that be cutting a hole in a certain front door to allow a poor unfortunate fellow in to his safe house to get out of the weather? If so the answer is yes.

Re: Work party dates 2009
Unfinished business . . . . . . .
I don't like the sounds of that! You do realise the house is kept under 24 hour police surveilance don't you; any funny business and they'd be round like a shot. Though judging from what I've seen so far their perfomance is a bite like the Police Academy. ( Anyone ever used a 'blue oyster' for bait? )
Andyk74, if you do happen across Mr treefella - or should I say 'Sir' treefeella - can you please check that he's not packing a piece under his overcoat (or at least a chainsaw.)
Much appreciated.

If I do see Sir Treefella packing a chainsaw under his overcoat, you will be the first to know Avalon!

Re: Work party dates 2009
Rumour has it that Sir Treefella not only uses his chainsaw for lopping off limbs but he also uses it for shaving he's that 'ard even the fish are scared of him and clear off up the other end of the lake or river!
Oh, suddenly thought, I don't like the idea of limbs being lopped . . . .

Re: Work party dates 2009
Well done avalon, you worked very hard @ todays workparty. unfortunately when i said you could cut down anything that was dead i thought you might realize most of the trees had lost their leaves because it was winter not because they were dead ! Because of this you will now be known in person as "THE BOWSAW BANDIT".

Re: Work party dates 2009
Why, Sir Treefella, I take that as a compliment of the utmost regard and would see it to have the same stature as an 'OBE' , 'CBE' or - as with yourself - a knighthood.
I thank you, and pledge my allegiance to the crown and club (well for this week at least).
As for the leaf thing I am pleased you have cleared that one up. I must say one thing though, and that is I thought it a little unfair when you asked me to take that last tree out with the saw; I couldn't even get my arms around it!. . . . . .
. . . . . . for now, farewell. . . . . Avalon (aka 'The Bowsaw Bandit')
