The Airman
Hi,
I will be fishing the airman on Saturday and deperately need some advice. I have fished it about 6-7 times before and a part from a small pike caught on sweetcorn. I have had no luck at all.
I have often seen carp in the margins and in the middle of the lake, so I tend to put a bait in each place. I also move the bait after 2-3 hours. I generally try pop-ups where it is deeper and sweetcorn in the margins.
I do not fish nights, only during the day, so any advice that could be given would be really appreciated.
Thanks
Stuart

Re: The Airman
hello mate i have been fishing up there for the last 2 years and most of the carp i have caught have come out on sweetcorn or maize fished over a bit of party mix and maize and i only fish to the margins up there and that seems to work but because the weathers been a bit hit and miss over the last couple of weeks with such a big change in temp from day to night they are feeding a bit funny i fished sunday night to monday and there was a big frost but i had 3 fish out to 22lb through the night from the long narrow swim and I was using a 18mm home made fish boilie topped with a bit of fake corn and a tiny stick mix fished with one rod just to the left of the swim just outside the bay and the other about a rod length out from the far bank. hope this helps
