Stanford Pit
Hi All,
I fancy a bit of float fishing up Stanford pit this weekend, I haven't fished there for years. Is it worth a go and any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks
Stuart

Re: Stanford Pit
Hi Stuart,
I have never fished there, although I have walked round it. At a recent working party one member did state that they had had a good days fishing up there on waggler and maggot. Other than that I don't really know much.
Hope this is of some use.

Re: Stanford Pit
Well, me and a mate went up there for a few hours on Saturday. We were both using waggler and maggot and we caught a few perch and roach.
The water level was up a bit, the swans left us alone and there were a few carp crashing (probably spawning), they seemed to be around the 5lb mark.
It's quite a nice venue, ideal for a few hours float fishing.
