Rules
Membership to this board is automatically granted upon submission to this board of a single post by any registered Runboard User. By gaining membership to this board in any way, you agree to be bound by the herein terms of use and also any modifications made to these terms in the future.
Attack ideas, not people
Do not insult, demean, belittle, degrade, provoke, harass, abuse, ridicule, slander, attack, or flame any other member, even in retaliation to any such attacks on yourself. However, feel free to challenge any idea you like. Note that “attack ideas” is not synonymous with “insult ideas” - ideas should be attacked with rational arguments against them rather than just name-calling.
Stay on topic
Stick to the topic of whatever threads you participate in; feel free to start a new thread if you are inspired to something drastically off-the-subject. And please respect the board organization by posting new threads in the correct forum.
No solicitation
Spam will be removed without notice. Spam is in general defined as any post designed to draw traffic away to either an online store or a different website (RunBoard powered boards excluded), while providing little or no benefit to the members of this board. Any scams or pyramid schemes will also be reported to RunBoard Staff for further actions to be taken.
Custom signatures
Custom signatures should be kept small and unobtrusive. Feel free to link to your favorite site(s) in your signature, as long as it is not pornographic or of questionable legality.
Multiple accounts are to be avoided
Nevertheless, in case you prefer to log in using multiple accounts, do not use your multiple accounts to harass other members. Also understand that the administrators can see IP addresses and are under no obligation to keep your alternate usernames a secret. Mimicking other members' handles for whatever reason will not be tolerated.
Keep your account(s) to yourself
You are responsible for anything anyone does while using your account. Therefore, do not allow them to do so, even if you are friends and/or you use the same computer.
Abide by RunBoard’s Terms of Service
Among the things not permitted are: pornography; scams and pyramid schemes; infringement of copyright; bandwidth theft; warez, keys, cracks, passwords, and emulators; and violation of privacy (i.e., posting personal information such as name, address, etc.). Violations will be reported to RunBoard Staff, except in cases of privacy violation, which must be submitted by the person whose privacy was violated. Please read the RunBoard's Terms Of Service.
Administration Actions are final and not negotiable
An action will be taken by the board staff if a thread is getting out of hand or if any of the herein terms has been violated. Do not further disrupt the thread by complaining to or arguing with the board staff members.
File complaints through proper channels
If you think a thread has gotten out of hand and a staff member has not noticed, please notify privately (via Runboard PM). Do not further disrupt the thread by making off-topic complaints to the administration.
Administration reserves the right to revise these rules at any time
An announcement will be made if so, but it is your responsibility to be aware of what the rules are. Ignorance is no excuse.
Failure to follow these rules may result in revocation of your posting privileges
If you are being overly disruptive, repeatedly violating the rules, failing to comply with Administration Actions, and in general being a pest, you will be asked to either shape up or leave. If you continue being a pest, you will be banned.
As simple as that.
