Re: Harbour skateboards
WOE!!!NOW!!!That is ONE rad deck Dan! I grew up around the corner from Harbour...my friend and SB ripper, "Psycho Dave" Ortiz was Harbour's very first jr. team rider! And, SB bro ChazWick aka Seal Beach veteran surf-ace Chas Wickwire would definetly know
about that deck for sure...

Even Tim was all over it!
So SumD, is this a 1st/2nd generation? or?
Thanks, Dan~
Sorry for the delayed reply, Dan... I lost my password like a bonehead. Anyways, the pictured board is a 2nd generation deck. The 1st gen. were wood with a fiberglass layer of 4 or 6 oz. cloth on the top side. The two that currently hang in the Harbour shop are Rich Harbour's and Rober Howsen's personal boards. One has Metaflex wheels and the other PowerPaws.
The pictured board also features ACS (American Cycle Systems) 651 trucks, which were (I THINK) the widest ones from that company. By the time they released 'em, Tracker then Indy were already on the path to making wide enough trucks to accomodate the wide decks that were getting wider by the day during the late '70s.
The Sims Snake wheels and Sims Gold bearings are classic, as well. In the Seal Beach/Lakewood/Long Beach area, having that setup was a good thing back then.
