Skaterbuilt BBQ-Jam '08

June 21, 2008 marked the first day of Summer and the day of the third annual Skaterbuilt BBQ-Jam. Held at Costa Mesa skatepark, it turned out to be another fun day of skateboarding, friends, food, skateboarding, good times, heat, and... skateboarding.

Tristan R. gets some air in the deep end.
Image

MSK checks out Dan's Sims Lamar time machine.
Image

Sam Wickwire got his share of airtime, as well.
Image

Jon Warren skates fast, surf-like, and has a variety of moves. He consistently nails these.
Image

Richard... stylin'.
Image

Micke Alba in the mix.
Image

Mark.
Image

What do you do when you're droppin' in at the same time as Malba? Rock-paper-scissors to see who goes. Sam and Micke work it out.
Image

Jon, again.
Image

Jake Piasecki shows us not only how stale fish can be... but soars, in the process of it all.
Image

Another one of Jake... laying back rather smoothly.
Image

Amidst all of the heat and skateboarding was food. We like food. Much thanks to the Hegstrom family for providing, as usual, some killer eats and refreshments.
Image

Eric Salazar correctly demonstrates how to sweep the deep end.

Image

Rockin' and rollin', too.
Image

Kevin Burke flies along the flatwall.
Image

Bucky scores another Skaterbult oinker.
Image

Thank God for shade. Great refuge for inbetween sessions in the blistering heat.
Image

Chairman of Skaterbuilt gets with the rockin' and rollin' on the hip.
Image

Darren was giving the bowl a brutal beating at just about every place possible.
Image

Mr. Colburn... takes a brief moment from 2008 to travel back to a much simpler time, such as it were.
Image

Then, flies back to the future.
Image

Bucky brought this bucket shaped device which provided a great portal from which to enjoy classic audio stylings of various musical artists. Thanks for the tunes, Buck!
Image

One more of Jake... somewhere over the bowl.
Image

For three consecutive years, Skaterbuilt's Jam yielded a great turnout and some fun times. Thanks to everyone that showed up and helped put this event on. A suburb method of starting off Summer. Once again... bigtime thanks to the Hegstrom family for everything!
