Re: Ground Hog II
Well my friend, it's all a matter of personal preference...
But I've been riding this deck for several years now and have to tell you it's my favorite of all time! I've tweaked some of my earlier configurations of this gem and here's what I have going currently that is absolutely "dialed in" to my liking:
- 60mm Poolside Favors with Ron's Ballistech Bearings
- Indy 215's
- Khiro Aluminum Insert Bushings (not the barrels); I weigh about 185lbs, so I mix up the blues and oranges to get the right feel for front and back trucks
- 1/4" Skaterbuilt risers; these are absolutely the BEST in my opinion - very similar to the old Cell Blocks
- Also go for the Skaterbuilt hardware; 1-1/4" should do the trick; you want those pan heads on top of the board to dig your Vans waffle soles into when things get a little sketchy!
- Gotta have Skaterbuilt grip too... HELLA grippy!
Now go set one up - half the fun is experimenting and dialing in what works for you!
P.S. - don't forget your spoke killer!

Re: Ground Hog II
and if those 215's don't work for you - try the black tracker 184's.
that'll do the trick - and looks better, too

Re: Ground Hog II
You'll dig your GH fosho, my favorite rig.
Have mine set up very similar to Buck's, but w/ 1/2" risers. And due to the fatness the perplexes me I use Yellow and Red combo Khiro insert bushings. Enjoy....
Swed's... go figure...

Recieved my GHII today. This is one sick board.Dave thanks for the extra goodies. Cant wait to build her up tomorrow. Have a question about the Spoke Killers. Is everyone building there own or is there some out there for purchase? Any info appreciated.

Re: Ground Hog II
Spoke Killers are custom "made to order" items.
BTW, I run 169's on my GHII, so you can use either. 60mm wheels and 1/4 inch risers is what I suggest also.
