Concrete Disciples DeathRace was a blast!
Me, young ripper Josh Borden, and the Layback Master himself rallied up and headed out for Simi Valley this past Saturday night for a pretty frickin' fun night! How can you NOT have fun when Jay Smith is around? Dude had us in sttches the whole night-thanks, I think Jay...
A Big thanks to Todd at SkateLab-and another big thanks goes out to the CD crew Jeff, Ray, and Christian...well done guys-great event!
The Lab locals have got it down for sures...I'd say that the Highest WallRide Event was some of the sickest skating I've ever seen...photos ain't gonna tell the story or do the skaters the justice they truly deserve...Matt Boyster is...infrickin'sane-and his crew of Lab rats ain't far behind...sick stuff! Me, Andrew, and O.G. Eddie were sreaming our heads off-not believing what was going down...sick, sick, sick.
And I gotta give big shout out to SB/sector9 rider Jake Piasecki and his very pregnant longtime girl Robin...Jake was destroying that place...Madonnas, laybacks, and lien to tails on the vert extension???Nuts! Good luck to Jake and Robin both-as she'll most likely be giving birth to their soon-to-be baby girl soon. Good on you Jake-and thanks for coming out and charging.
Also gotta thank Josh Borden and Eric Salazar for making the drive out to Simi to represent SkaterBuilt...better luck next time brothers...you both ripped.
And gotta give another prop to Ben Butler-who had super-fast runs in the DeathRace with beer in hand...even switched hands for a boneless!!!Classic.
Anyways, sick fun it was-but you just had to be there to appreciate the true Lab locals' talent-these guys have got it down!
And Boyster's hanging from the rafters wallride was probably the most insane thing I've ever seen-you rip Matt!!!
Thanks again to all of you who made it out to the Lab!
