Re: Calling All ConeKillers!
Im making my inroads to the "Mafia"
Next Im gonna place my order for the Masey..
I thought I was set to pick up the hybrid, but at 33 " x 9" I just might opt for the TS..
Ive been riding a Roe S Camber thats narrow and flexy w/ a W.B. 18" or less.. I thought a 19" Wb was what I wanted but that Hybrid seems like alot of board.
I mostly run tight 5-6 ft. And at the races in the Midwest next season Im gonna mostly stick to TS..
Im also in the market for better truck set up. Ive been using RTX/ S 105 (?) on my TS and GS board. Im in the market for Splits (90).. Or maybe a Tracker offset (90) .Any suggestions?
Thanks

Re: Calling All ConeKillers!
At 8.8, wide the isn't really THAT much board Ric...but, I DO suugeest you get rid of the old flexer and get on a stiff and responsive SB TS deck! You'll will be SO much faster and more accurate...dudes who have ridden flex-pies for ever throw them away after riding our deck-no lie. If the Hybrid is too big (which it is not) then I suggest you grab a TS deck instead...with wheelbases ranging from 17/17.5 to 18/18.5 ...can't go wrong in TS with those options...then the Hybrids start at 19/19.5 and goes to 20/20.5...4 options on each deck! Schweeeeeeet! Hope this helps. Thanks for stopping in Ric!

Re: Calling All ConeKillers!
Dave (and anyone else), what would be the best one to start with? I'm thinking a hybrid because I've never done cones and we might try tight and giant. Maybe I should get a TS and use my Trim Delux for GS. Just thinking outloud.

Re: Calling All ConeKillers!
oldsk8r,
I would go with the Hybrid. I run mine on the 20" wheelbase with a GeezerX RT/x 100mm Team truck on front and a 2nd generation Splitfire 107mm rear. I can do 5.5 footers and up on that setup, although it performs better in the 6.5' to 10' range.
On the 7 footers and up, I switch to the CK GS, 21.5" wb, dual 3rd generation Splits 107mm. I stretch it to 22.5" wb for real GS.

Axe Murderer
A good ol'fashioned rivalry, exactly what the 'sport' of slalom needs.
