Best Live / Best Shows

Alright Rock & Rollers, Honky Tonk Heros, and long hairs, here is the latest question to ponder;

Who are some of the best live acts you've seen? and/or your favorite memories of particular shows?

Holy cow man, great list! I got to see The Clash toward the end, and was as stoked as I have ever been to see them. You will live forever Joe.

Here's one to trip on:

PLASMATICS!

Remember them? I went with a bunch of guys I used to roll with from Surfin' Turf in Milwaukee... I was 14 and they were all about 17 or older ("It's cool Mom - really! HA!")
Saw them at this place that was like a theater setting... Wendy O. Williams came out pretty much naked, with the exception of black leather panties, black electrical tape over her nipples, and shaving cream sprayed all over her frontside... they played a couple of songs and it was ON! We were all stoked... but then the cops came and shut it down... go figure in Milwaukee... especially in 1980... GOOD TIMES! One of the best shows ever...

AGENT ORANGE

I saw them 20 years ago for my first show, and saw them again just a few weeks ago. They sound just as good now as they did back then! emoticon

Yeah Bobby, I dig Agent Orange, but have never been to one of their shows. I wish I could have gone up to see them last month in Peskit. Here are a couple more that stick out for me... I saw a couple of shows with both The Big Boys and JFA back in the 80s. and also The Big Boys with Black Flag and DOA. Those were classics. The Big Boys are a legendary live act, and I feel blessed to have lived in Texas in their heyday. Of the newer crop of bands/Artists, I really like Hank III. I've have been to more than one show, and I'm addicted. I will make an effort to see Hank every time he's in town. An hour of pure honky tonk and rockabilly, followed by a full set of hardcore thrash with Assjack, it's unreal.

For me...it would be a toss up between Johnny Cash and Primus...could I get to farther ends of the spectrum? Doubt it.

Maysey;
Diversity is a good thing, and in this case shows, good taste as well. Primus sounds like a really cool show, but I will always lament not seeing Johnny Cash.

Bob-O;
All I can say is Black F***in' Sabbath!!!

Bucky;
Remember Cream Magazine? I can still see Wendy's "Cream Dream" picture in my head.

Hauskeeper;
Looking over your list again, and I am impressed Sir. Some legendary acts have passed before your eyes I love The Cramps. A Cramps show is like really great sex,,,and almost is.

@ Shamrock1...

I first saw the Cramps in 1980 when Brian Gregory was still with them I think they were on tour to promote their "Songs the lord taught us" LP, then I saw them again in June 1981 when they went on tour around the UK to promote there new LP "Phychedelic Jungle".
A phychobilly band I followed at the time called the Meteors were supporting them on that tour and I went to 7 of the 14 tour dates, I last saw them in 1984 and they were still great, not as good as 1980/81 but still very entertaining, I think I saw them in all about 11 times...and everytime was memorable, definatly one of the better bands Iv'e seen.
