Yeah B Dot and Will, wish I'd heard the song without the video. I don't like that video at all. I think this is a song that will probably grow on me, I like parts of it, and other parts not so much, but I like enough of it that if I listen to it a few more times, it will catch me.
I think I'd like to hear her do songs with more depth. It's hard to explain, but to me it's like she dummied down her voice to fit the song. Sounds like something Mariah would sing. I think she's got chops and would benefit with stronger material. It'll be interesting to see what the rest of the CD is like...

dang, y'all are RUFF!!! LOL! parts of the video reminded me of the booths they used to have at amusement parks back in the day where you and your friends could go in a make a "music video".
i like her voice. imma check for some more of her stuff...

I'm gonna check it out again. I might have been too harsh and quite honestly, I didn't pay too much attention to the lyrics. When I said it was a "Mariah-type song" I meant the arrangement and singing style.
I do think it could be a radio hit, but they really should redo the video, it didn't enhance the song at all to me.

Completely agree with you Cece1
The video was so off putting for me (especially some of her hand gestures etc.)
I tend not to watch music videos generally as they ruin the thoughts/imagery I conjure up in my mind and I enjoy these more!
