What got you interested in SG-1?
I remember loving the Stargate movie, but my uncle is the one that really got me into SG-1. He was always so excited about watching it, so I started watching it too. Now I can't get enough!
I have to say that I think that SG-1 is better than the Stargate movie, and also that SG-1 seems more like an ongoing movie to me than just a television series. The quality of the show is so much higher than some other spin-offs and sci-fi shows.

Re: What got you interested in SG-1?
I first saw the movie on tv just before sg-1 started because I like the whole archaeological thing and then I started watching the show. I kinda lost interest around season 2 for some reason and never really paid much attention to it. Just a few weeks ago I rediscovered it by watching the repeats on sci fi and now I'm obsessed! I never realized how great the relationships on the show were and everything...that's what makes a great show.

I was a fan since the movie, but I like the actors in the series better. They really bring the show to life for me.

Re: What got you interested in SG-1?
Well, I guess I would have to lay it on my b/f. It was his favorite show to begin with and I actually started watching only because of that, however after a year of watching I am hopelessly hooked on it. He kids me about it now of course, but I really do love it. My favorite character would have to be Jack, he is so funny, and I almost know what hes going to say before he says it sometimes. Samantha is my next favorite; I believe she balances out the show nicely.Daniel is a real asset too.I am glad he is back and I am looking forward to the new season, If the first two episodes are any indication we are in for a great one!

Re: What got you interested in SG-1?
You totally took the words out of my mouth. SG1 is more like an ongoing movie than a TV show. I guess you could call it a progressive show. Even though each episode ends in roughly the same place it began, there is a little bit of progress every time. They learn a little more, etc..
It is way better than the movie. I must admit that the movie had some better effects. I am looking forward to an SG1 movie.

Re: What got you interested in SG-1?
I'd have to say the movie did; I've alwaysed been interested in ancient egypt. I watched the movie several times, and then I heard about the TV show, I watched it to the end of season two when it was dropped from the listings I watched, and then I've picked it up again, on the scifi channel. I guess it's stuck with me, because of the whole egypt/archeology thing, and that as sci-fi series goes, the science behind it is pretty good, add to that, each episode keeps you interested.

Re: What got you interested in SG-1?
I watched the Stargate movie. I thought it was alright, but I actually didn't find out about the series until maybe... 3rd season? I kinda watched it on and off for a while, but eventually -- somewhere around 5th season reruns I got hooked. Then when I looked for the new episodes being played on TV, I found the 6th season and was bummed that Daniel was no longer there. (Very glad to have him back!) I watched a couple of those -- but basically I'm really into the four hour reruns on Sci-Fi on Mondays right now. However, with my new job, I don't get a chance to watch those very often... but, thankfully I have Kazaa and a pretty fast connection to the internet, so I download reruns often to catch the ones I missed. Part of what attracted me to the *show* was Col O'Neill and his incredible humor. I think I would definitely call this show a comedy Really great characters, really great stories, special effects -- they've done a wonderful job
