Michael Shanks
Like Daniel Jackson, Michael Shanks is a lover of history and archeology. When asked if he hates anything about his character, he replied "The whole allergy thing!" Shanks was a huge fan of sci-fi since he was a child. Strangely enough, he says he joined acting because of "MacGuyver", and now he co-stars along with the star of MacGuyver, Richard Dean Anderson.
