any one have info on who where and when the ROYAL CAPRI's were around?
I got a royal capri card on my site, could anyone tell me where they were and if they were aligned with the royals of today? also who did they get along with and who did they fight?

hey bro, i rode with them for years. they were on ridgeway and fullerton just like the gaylords but were on the south side of ridgeway. the royal capris covered our backs and had a club house in the corner apartment building.i remember banging with pete harris, george lane , mark doughty,tony mensa, and many more. these guy were real crazy mothers , they hanged at first at kelvyn park h.s at a pool hall with all the gangsters right down the block. they even wore there sweaters in the kelvyn park h.s. they were one of lawndale best allies in the 1970's. one of there guys turn imperial gangster, tony menza.the royal capris's were there the day lawndale gaylords destroyed that 3 car loads and the cta bus full of gangsters and other latin gangs on the bus.there sweaters were white and black ,with white chops and there emblem was a pair of dices.they help hold lawndale all threw the 1970's.i have great memories of them as , just as chi west they saved our ass many times. demon

Yea, I knew Tony Menza, there were also Lady Capris when I was in 7th grade at Mozart elem. Violet (lady capri) asked me and her sister to start some pee wees, well that was 1976 and the gangsters were already taking over the area, we recruited a few girls and guys but it didn't really take off. The Capris didn't really hang around Mozart park too long and they just died down. I then went to Kelvyn park for awhile but it was full of gangsters and kings so I transferred to prosser which was mostly preps hahaha. Ended up hanging with the T/A and K/A Freaks who at the time were not yet a gang but a "party organization" Until everyone started messing with us. I think it was about 1979 and they originally made there colors baby blue and brown. Can you tell me when the Freaks and Gaylords United? When I was around they didn't get along. Anyway the last comment on the Capris colors and the dice is correct.

IN 1976 THE ROYAL CAPRIS HAD LIKE 25 GUYS WHO HANGED BY THE POOL HALL.LEGS DIAMOND AND PETE HARRIS AND GEORGE LANE WENT TO KELYVN PK. YES THEY ALL HAD TO QUIT AS THE GANGSTERS OVER RAN THE SCHOOL THAT YEAR.THEY FOUND A APARTMENT ON THE CORNER OF RIDGEWAY AND FULLERTON IN WHICH ALL THE LAWNDALE GAYLORDS HANGED WITH OUR GIRLS AND OTHER UFO GUYS.AFTER GEORGE LANE WAS ATTACKED IN THE KELYVN PK H.S LUNCH ROOM. ALL THE ROYAL CAPRIS WENT TO WAR. THEY BEAT GEORGE LANE FOR WEARING A ROYAL CAPRIS SWEATER IN THE SCHOOL.ALL THE GANGSTERS JUMPED ON HIM THAT DAY.THEY BUT HIM IN THE HOSPITAL AND IT WAS ON AFTER THAT. THR CAPRIS WENT TO THE LAWNDALE GAYLORDS AND WE HOOKED UP. WE WERE BOTH STONE GREASERS GANGS.I DID A LOT OF BANGING WITH THE ROYAL CAPRIS AND THEY ARE GOOD FRIENDS OF MINE.THE GUYS I RODE WITH STARTED THE ROYAL CAPRIS.I WAS NEVER KNOWN BY BY NICK NAME. I WAS KNOW AS TATE.
