Re: Vcr to PC transfer You could get a capture card but I always ended up with sound sync issues in combination with vhs when I did so a few years back.
Nowadays I use my dvr to record from tv or vhs and then let it burn a dvd-rw.
Then I use somthing like aoa ripper to get it to divx or xvid format. After that I cut it to better scenes with something like virtualdub.
