a moan about Charity collection bags

...we get one every few months, and usually manage to fill them with unwanted stuff. It's good thing don't you agree?
The one through the door today was from "Little Treasures Children's Trust" who I've never heard of so I done a quick search on the internet for them. Not for the charity's own website, but in the 'newsgroups' section, which is much like a large collection of internet forums.

Check out the page I stumbled across here and decide for yourself what's going on. Note that these are only other people's opinions, i can't say how true they are.

Suffice to say i'm going to take the stuff down to our local charity shop

Yeah there are alot of scammers out there seling the stuff we give away. I agree stick to the well known large charities, charity shops and clothing recycle bins that are springing up in car parks and at your local tip.

I know we're talking about stuff we don't want anymore. But there's something about knowing that your old stuff will be going to someone who needs it as opposed to someone who's going to line his pockets with profit.

We luckily don't need to worry about the charities, as once those bags have come through the door the dogs tear them into a thousand pieces! Only problem is we probably get 3 a week so we're forever picking up bits of bag. I think we'll carry on taking our stuff to the charity shop.
