dodgy alternator, edthemutt&katanafae

Many thanks for your help and advice at the weekend. Got the van and fridgefreezer down to Lewes on Sunday am OK (without any coffee). Drove around and back to Hants on Monday. Tues am drove to Guildford (20 miles). Well, got nearish there before she died. 15 miles in nigh stationary traffic barely getting out of 1st gear and she starting cutting out and then went flat on me again. (Girlie gave me a jump start). As you both suspected, it wasn't just the dead leisure battery, but the alternator can't be pushing out enough juice to keep the main battery alive. Bum.

OOH! You can be so, so cruel!

Van is now doubly incontinent. Piddles both coolant and oil. If it weren't for an imminent Kingsfold I'd sorn it for a few months.

Can I be a ***** back? Was in Camberley Autofactors buying CV boots for the civic, chatted to the man there (who then gave me a nice trade discount) and he was saying about a T4 he'd been offered, good conversion, cooker, R&R bed, pop top, alloys, TV/DVD, new paint job (owner was bodywork specialist). Going for an incredible £2000. Yes £2000. It needed just 1 new wheel bearing and 1 tyre. I thought of you. Wanted to buy it and swap for your van. Sadly it went 2 weeks ago. Gutted.
