Re: What to do with old brake fluid? You should be able to take it to your local tip. If in doubt check on your local councils website and either give them a call or take it along and ask?

•Fluorescent tubes
•Fridges and freezers
•Tyres
•Used lubricating oils
•Household (non-lead acid) batteries and car (lead acid) batteries
They also accept bulky household refuse and garden waste which is not taken as part of the weekly refuse collection service. To dispose of bulky items such as furniture please see Special Collections.
You can take small quantities of potentially hazardous household waste to these sites as well.
