Oh well, there goes that idea! Got my bus back today, all fixed...yeah right! Drove it 27 miles back from garage only to loose 3rd gear after 20 miles..How Careless of me!!Garage didn't answer phone so limped home the rest of way as if I'd limped back to garage I might have done damage and it would have been around 7pm by the time I would have got there! I'll be on the phone to said garage in the morning as they pulled said gearbox from my bus to fix a leak and the words strip down are on the invoice! The shifters only a year old as is the couplers and the box (cogbox rebuild, ran sweet until I left it with garage).
Fingers crossed I'll try and make the next meet!

Hi all, Just got the beetle out of the garage ready for tonight, I wish they invented air conditioning 40 years ago , the car is like a greenhouse, Planning to leave Haywards Heath just after 6pm, slow run down, See you all there

Not a bad idea Andy.... might get laughed out the car park in our Saab! What a sad state of affairs I'm in....2 beetles and a bus and none of them running!
Cancelled my parents last night, who were going to look after the girls tonight and now they are going to their club evening now as we have freed them up! (Rileys not VW's) We'd bring the girls but it would not be fair on them as it would be way past their bedtime!
Still... not long to wait intil the Summer Festival... I'll hopefully make that and say hello then!
