Farmfest, Canterbury.
Farmfest is being held this year on September 12th-13th. Gates opening on the friday for those who want to camp over the weekend. Usual attractions hog and lamb roast. show and shine. Please we would love more traders here as there is a lot of space. Phone 01303840374 0r 01303 840241 for more details. Dogs are welcome. I know it is same weekend as Vanfest but asked local clubs if they minded and there was a general concensus that they were coming here as it is closer.
The venue for those who have not been here is:
Exted Farm, Exted, Elham, Canterbury, Kent. CT4 6YG and is not far from junction 11 off the M20.
Entrance fee: £5 per adult. £10 per vehicle camping. Children up to the age of 16 free.
--- If it was meant to go fast, it would not have been built brick shaped!

Re: Farmfest, Canterbury.
Very possibly, as I haven't decided on Vanfest yet.

Re: Farmfest, Canterbury.
Yes very possible as I think Vanfest is gonna be a no go due to cost mainly.

Re: Farmfest, Canterbury.
I'm boycotting Vanfest this year due to the way they treated us as punters last year.
The fact the toilets were not cleaned is unforgivable.
Aslo the fact that although they promised us straw to soak up some of the mud, it never materialised. The entrance to the dance marquee was a quagmire (again, no straw) and as we had Scarlet with us, we avoided it and so did not get to see the bands.
For the cost of tickets and the distance to travel, i for one will definately be supporting Farmfest.
I went last year for the Sunday and had a great time. It is run by an old couple who own the farm and have been into VWs for years.
Scattered all over the farm are various VWs slowly being covered with undergrowth. They even had an SP2 for sale last year!
My only complaint about the show was that the burger van man was very rude. I went to buy a drink and he tried to give me a can that was covered in some kind of sticky substance and dirt. When i politely asked for another he simply wiped the top of the can with a dirty rag and gave it back to me. I then (again politely) insited on another can to which he refused and so i then demanded a refund. He threw the coins at me... Needless to say, i told him what i thought.
Anyway, great show, just bring your own food and drinks.

Re: Farmfest, Canterbury.
We are hoping to be going for the weekend, one of the few places the old Type 4s are really well looked after and appreciated.
See you there.

Re: Farmfest, Canterbury.
Well done Shawn for winning Best Type 3/4!
And yours truely took home Best Custom for the New Bee and Best Rat Look for my van!
It was a good day out!
Hopefully see a few more of you there next year! They are moving it back a week next year so it does not clash with Vanfest.
