Donation to charity by the club, PLEASE VOTE
You may know that St Barnabus Hospice is building a new Hospice at a cost of £13.5 million and have now collected £10.5 million with only £3 mill to go. One way of raising this shortfall is to build 'The Walk of Life' which will pave the way towards the Hospice; it will run alongside the inner approach road and will be the pathway that welcomes patients and visitors to the new hospice. It will be paved with special bricks and stones engraved with personal messages from friends and supporters; messages that will be seen by patients, families and visitors who come to the hospice for many years to come.
A single paver with black writing (Max 30 letters inc. spacers on two lines) is £50
a double paver will be £100. with of course double the message space.
I don't know if you remember Ron and Deidre, they were VW members, well Ron was looked after at St Barnabus and a few of us visited him there (at the old building) before his last days. It's a very calming place and the new building will be even better.
It has been suggested that the club buy a Double Paver at £100, with the words
With Love
Sussex
Volkswagen
Owners Club
The path will be there for 50 years or more, advertising at £2.00 per year, not bad !!!! and of course it helps others.

Sory, Dale, but that vote is, sadly, offensive.
'Keep the money for ourselves' is not an acceptable option.
I have become very familiar with the hospice system over the last few years, and yes, they do need the money.
Please change the wording to a viable alternative, or give the money to the hospice without bothering to ask.

Apologies Gail, i opened my mouth without really thinking about the words, something which often gets me into trouble.
I guess a simple yes/no would have been better, but there appears no way to change it now (thinking about it, surveys would be useless if you could change the words afterwards)

Ahh thanks 
...but thinking about your original post (this is me after a good nights sleep) i'm not totally convinced i've understood what you meant. Probably better to have a chat when we next meet, as we've see in the past using a forum is a clumsy way of dealing with indifferences.
Hopefully the things i do for the club 'balance out' the ****-ups i make, but hey i'd rather not upset people AT ALL if possible.
So thanks for bringing it up, it will help me. I wonder who else would have done so?

I hate to tell you Dale, but it's your job, as a man, to upset us ladies and put your foot in it on a reasonably regular basis. If you fail to do this we will always ask 'does my bum look big in this' to give you the opportunity to get it wrong, and to spend a few days in that dog house that we always keep ready prepared for you.
And as women it's our job to have the odd hissy fit. Preferably uncalled for ones every now and then.

Flu
Headache
Hangover
and just general arse-iness.
