Franks Field FAQ

What is Frank’s Field?
It is a quiet secluded recreation ground in the small village of Fairwarp on the edge of the Ashdown Forest.
The SVWOC is very fortunate to be able to use these private facilities at reasonable rates due to a personal contact.

Where is it?
Fairwarp which is 5 miles North of Uckfield.
From the A22 ( Copwood roundabout) Uckfield by-pass stay on A22 for another 5 miles.
At Lampool roundabout turn right and immediately left onto the B2026 signposted Fairwarp.
After 0.8 mile turn right signposted Fairwarp and Forresters Arms pub.
Go through the village with the pub on your left. The recreation ground entrance is about half a mile after the pub hidden between the trees on the right hand side.
The postcode of the local pub Forrester’s Arms, Fairwarp is TN22 3BP

What facilities are there?
There is a small pavilion with cold running water and a sink but no cooking facilities. There are 2 toilets.

What happens during a camping weekend at Frank’s Field?
Campers can either chill out by themselves or join in any games/activities which may be organised especially for the children or the young at heart! A camp fire is normally lit in the evening. There are good walks and cycle rides in the area and the village pub is half a mile away.
