Will we ever proove the existance of ghosts?
Hello everyone.
Do you think that anyone can ever offer proof that ghosts exist?
Some would say Yes, maybe the human race just isn't yet advanced enough to understand it using science and logic.
Others might say No because, afterall, what constitutes as "Proof"? Or maybe it can't be prooved simply because there is always going to be people out there who just simply refuse to believe that ghosts could exist.

Excelent report Richard!
I think one day with the advance of science we will find a way to view ghosts! but i hope nobody does!
To prove the existance of ghosts will require proof without any dought and will probably require advanced technology.
If that time comes then investigations will not be the same!
An investigation is a challenge, sometimes something happens but mostly nothing happens. So why do we do it, just in case we see hear or feel the unexplaned?
For me it is personal - i just need to prove to myself that what i see hear and feel is real.

I am not sure Griff, i already know that ghosts do exist in some form, i have seen too much. I just want to know exactly what it is i am seeing and what causes it, that is the only way it can be proved to more then the individual making the claims.

This has realy played on my mind, i stand by my first post but after a lot of thought i would like to add the following:
It will be my 30th visit to Grace Dieu the next time i vist!!!! and why do i do it?
Its because i need to prove to myself the existance of ghosts and what they realy are!!. So i to need to prove what they are!
I have heard many people give thier interpritation of ghosts - for example Mr Richard Felix and his talk about the different types of ghost. If some ghosts are just a recording stored in the building then this would posibly be the easiest to prove!!
Maybe just siting in a vigil calling out is not enough, what if we triggered the recording?

What if the calling out triggers it?
But seriously your right, maybe the trigger is when the brickwork is moved wether it be by vibrations of people walking through the building or by property developments hence the increase in activity in buildings being worked on.
But we need to find out what the transducer is which converts the energy stored in the brickwork into a visible image i.e Light.

Hiya. I voted in the poll i said that one day we will proove ghosts exist but it would take alot of proof to convince the world. Personaly I think theres things out there because i have seen alot of things and heard other peoples stories. i think a lot of bumps and bangs are explainable but when you know you are alone in a house and you hear a strange unexplainable nosies thats when you think somethings going on here.

Interesting infomation:
Quartz crystals when compressed or bent will generate a charge or voltage on its surface. This is a fairly common phenomenon called the piezoelectric effect. In the same way, if a voltage is applied, quartz will bend or change its shape very slightly.
In older buildings thier structure often contains amounts of quartz!
We now that when a building is disturbed it often coincides with paranormal activity!
So it's possible that the disturbing of the building is generating an electrical charge.
Could this be a catalyst for paranormal activity.

Griff, maybe the quartz crystals magnify the image. Think of when your science teacher shone a torch into a prism. The single beam was seperated into rays of colour. Is this what is happening when we see a ghost?

I'm not sure if we will get any evidence to be honest. I'd like to think we will but with all the investigations I've been on in the past we really haven't got anything to really prove any existence. Certain people I know often wonder if all this recording equipment we use is actually blocking any spirits out - maybe for us to really experience anything we need to go back to basics and not use technology. Unfortunately this way nothing scientific would be recorded!
