The Credibility of Most Haunted
Most Haunted, the TV show which began in 2002 consists of a team of "investigators" who aim to spend 24 hours in a reportedly haunted location to search for the spirits which lurk there.
It is undoubtedly the most successfull paranormal-focused TV show in history and is about to begin it's 9th series.
But, on my journeys to the other paranpormal forums it appears that it is loosing not only it's popularity but also it's credibility.
Many people say that now, this serious TV show has become nothing but an entertainment program, which will fake the activity just to bring in the hits. It has a presnter that will scream when there isn't even anything happening, they have just lost their Historian and they are so desperate for viewers that they paid a small fortune for the "popular" girl band "Girl's Aloud" to appear.

Bad Psychics are a group that have continually set up Derek Acorah and Most Haunted to reveal their fraudulent claims of paranormal activity and possessions........and as a member of that site too I have seen the evidence for my own eyes...

Corrections on two things mate. Firstly they spend a minium of 48 hrs at a location and secondly they search the alleged spirits that supposedly lurk there.

Most likely cos it was the first of its kind, there were similiar shows before it but not qyuite the same format as MH also the melodramatics of MH added to its amusement factor which was a key to its success

You should read the small print at the end of MH mate, its always stated from the first episode that it was an 'for entertainment' program.

If you look hard enough you will find a mountain of evidence that shows they did exactly that.

Do you mean Richard Felix?? who was so good at being an 'historian' as you call him that he constantly got his facts wrong week after week.

Another correction, Girls aloud did NOT appear on Most Haunted but on a copy cat program on ITV2 with Yvette Fielding as presenter, something that has allegedly incensed the big wigs at LivingTV.

Credibility? Well I was hooked at first until they invesitagted the old gaol at Nottingham.. I have some connections with the place and some of the 'history', (cough!) they came out with and a couple of the 'there's no way anybody can be out there', just had me rolling around on the floor!!
Oh and the 'that cell door shuts on its own', oh eck, nahh they didn't really say that, did they? Oh yes they did...
And before you ask, no I wasn't an inmate!!
Still watch occasionally, good for a laugh!
After doing the investigation with the Swad Team though, must admit I find myself watching more to rip it apart (and annoy the Tea Lady!), than anything else!
Ahh well....

Paul i have to agree! When your an investigator you have to rip everything apart anyway (if your a good investigator anyway) lol

I now its an entertainment program but the do visit some great place's

I actualy watched an episode of one of the live ones down Watling Street last night and was impressed at the results of the glass devination and table tipping.
However, they showed no concern at all towards using the Ouija Boards. I don't think they understood the seriousness of it which doesen't look professional from an investigators point of view. If there is one thing we must all do when out and about, it is to respect the dead.

I agree with you Richard we must respect the dead. I did use the ouija board about 20 years ago and have never forgot it!! nobody should ever use this thing as in my experience it can lead to problems.

Did anybody see the Most haunted last night at the Ghost House in Nottinghamshire?
Not a lot happened but i dont know if if was our house but the hair's on my neck was up and i was very cold thoughout the whole evening.
It is very unsual for me as i am very skeptical and this has never happened to me before.
