Are ghosts people or animals?
When watching an episode of Most Haunted something i had seen a thousands times but never noticed became very apparrent. How come when people call out e.g. "is there anyone there can you give me a sign?" they always use a funny, slightly higer pitched voice as if they were addressing a drunk, toddler or a pet?
Also many people think that using spiritual protection is essential, but ghosts were once people were they not? So why do we assume that they will harm us at their first opportunity?
Basicaly, my argument is that have we all lost respect for what were out investigating so much that we treat them more as if they are animals rather then people?

Re: Are ghosts people or animals?
Would it be fear....fear of the unknown and fear of who is there, what sort of spirit?
Fear does make people act differently doesn't it...

Re: Are ghosts people or animals?
Fear does however if we are afraid of a living person we don't act the way that most do on an investigation.

Re: Are ghosts people or animals?
Before I was ill, I would take off down my garden with my baseball bat to gently persuade the vandals to keep away from my van....
However, to sit and watch something with a ghost/spirit or whatever on TV was a different matter, all the bravado had gone.
Maybe it's because you know if you hear real footsteps that someone will be there.....or you see someone and your brain processes that info and you can deal with it. But the unknown has a different effect...maybe you hear footsteps but there is no-one there....or see a shadow that isn't real...and it's the brain that can't process the info and it makes the adrenaline start to pump and the panic set in.
