Ouija Boards for kids

Hello all

Please see the link below:
http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2266493#prod_prodinfo

This issue has been hilighted on another website and i think it should be hilighted here. Do you think that Ouija boards are suitable to be sold as toys for kids? I for one think i isn't and am extremely unhappy about it!

I dont think Ouija boards should be sold to kids either because its not safe for them. They dont know who or what they could be contacting.

I think the manufacturers would just say "it is a toy and you don't really contact the dead" but if the board gives the impression that you are receiving a message from the dead then that may have some serious psychological implications whether it's real or not.

I wouldn't like to think any one I knew was using them, adult or child!
What are these companies thinking of, don't we have enough things to mess up a childs mind, violence on tv and some computer games etc.

I have been on the site that is selling the Ouija Boards for Kids. Refering to them as "Glow in the dark Ouija Boards for children aged 8 - 15". Are they mentally insane? I think their head of promotions should be sacked. That is not only wrong, but sick. Have these people no decency or respect. I bet he wont let his kids play on it!!!

How about getting the person who thought up this insane idea to come on this forum & discuss why he thinks it is a good idea????
I doubt they will see it, but hey I hope they do, COME ON this site & defend yourself.

Anyone in America reading this, get them to contact us.

They are still pretty much on open sale over here too, however places selling them are advising against casual use and do post warnings (and only adults can buy), I think selling them as a kids toy is a bad idea -especially with how whacked out kids are nowadays......Emo's and ouija boards anyone?!

I just can't believe what I'm reading here.....are these sellers mad?

I've heard of some very nasty things happening with these boards, and I for one wouldn't go anywhere near one. In fact, if I was anywhere and one came out to be used, I'd leave.

It is so thoughtless and irrisponsible to sell them to kids.......kids that don't know what they are doing with them, and that can't protect themselves.

It's awful.....and the sellers should be ashamed of themselves.

I know AFL777 that these are available on the net, that isnt a proble, though I would never reccommend them to anyone I know. It is merely the fact that they are promoting them for children.

I think like you said, that the wacked out kids of today, doesn't that make them even more dangerous.

Well at least here in the UK, the only way a kid can get hold of them is through an adult, well I hope so anyway.
