Re: cars
So, how has everyone been dealing with driving in this weather? I've diwscovered that my front tyres are utterly hopeless in snow rather than just being poor in the wet as I thought (never buy Nankangs, they suck) and that's let to a few hairy moments. It's surprising to see how many people just don't know how to deal with slippery conditions - I have limited experience of driving in the snow but at least I can get there without acting like a muppet and putting everyone at risk.

Re: cars
Were ok with our car a Honda CVR its managing great when we have gone out which isn,t much , but we live on a hill and have spent time looking out of the window at quite a few "idiots" trying to get up ,but getting stuck then having to back down again.Think a lot of them come for the fun of it , just waiting for one of them to come through our fence....
The thing is traffic doesn,t have to come this way ,but as I said "Think it,s for the fun factor "
Must be barmy....Bx

Re: cars
The MG ZT handles brilliantly in the snow. Sure I have had a few slides and scary moments but I feel confident on the roads in these conditions, I like to power my way through the snow. Some people drive too slowly in the snow making cars behind them bunch up too close together or even brake too hard and lose control. Others seem to think that if you can't get grip then putting your foot on the accelerator more and making the wheels spin faster will help.... wrong! Change up the gears as fast as you can and then use the gears to slow you down rather then the brakes.
