Bath is good , very interesting to go around the Roman Baths if you like that sort of thing.
Dont think its too expensive..Bx

Hope you don,t mind me making another suggestion Have you been to see the SS Great Britain ,its undergoing restoration work in the Great Western Dock in Bristol.It was brought over from The Falkland Islands
in 1970, well worth a visit ..Bx

I think I have seen photo's of that at work. There is a Burton On Trent company that is doing the restoration. That is if it is the same one that I am thinking of.

Not sure who is doing the restoration work,
Havn,t been back for a few years ,but now
I have thought about it again, I think we
might get back there.
It,s interesting to walk around it and try
to visulize what it would have been like to
be a passenger.
It made 32 round trips to Australia ,
between 1852 and 1875...Bx

Scary place to be, in the subs in them days.
Very crampt I would of thought, They only serfaced every so often. must of been smelly aswell. 100 smelly blokes in a small ship under the water.

Still as you said though, It is history & would be interesting to go round it to see exactly what conditions they hadto put up with.
