Re: Holiday

I think I have seen photo's of that at work. There is a Burton On Trent company that is doing the restoration. That is if it is the same one that I am thinking of.

Re: Holiday

Not sure who is doing the restoration work,
Havn,t been back for a few years ,but now
I have thought about it again, I think we
 might get back there.
It,s interesting to walk around it and try
to visulize what it would have been like to
 be a passenger.
It made 32 round trips to Australia ,
 between 1852 and 1875...Bx

Re: Holiday

Scary place to be, in the subs in them days.

Very crampt I would of thought, They only serfaced every so often. must of been smelly aswell. 100 smelly blokes in a small ship under the water.

Nice emoticon

Still as you said though, It is history & would be interesting to go round it to see exactly what conditions they hadto put up with.
