TABLE TIPPING
Would appreciate any comments on table tipping. Red 1969, myself and some friends went to Elvaston castle and experienced table tipping. The table was a small round wooden one, similar to a pub table, with small metal wheels. We put our hands on the table fingertips touching. We asked if any spirits could move the table for us. It wasnt long before we were running up andd down the room with it and turning full circle, when the table was moving at quite a speed we shouted stop and it stopped dead. Everyone at the table knew each other and we totally trusted each other not to be moving it. How could this happen? It was fascinating.

Re: TABLE TIPPING
I have looked properly through the forum and found table tipping is already a subject in the debate area.
I have read through and it doesn't really help with my experience, even though the theories are very interesting. Am I going mad, it really did happen, just can't explain it. Elvaston has closed now so can't even go back and see if it happens again.

Re: TABLE TIPPING
Hi Joanne
Sorry i didn't reply to this sooner, i must of missed it somehow.
Tabletipping and glass divination are fascinating subjects and can be exciting to experience at first hand.
I remember having a go at this with your group at Gresley Old Hall last year with abseloutely no result what so ever, but what did interest me is that the other 3 groups on that night had excellent results with it, but why was this?
Putting my sceptics hat on it would be easy for me to say that people do move the table/glass but not intentionaly, everyone there is willing for something to happen so when someone leans forward and the glass wobbles slightly everyone else follows with their fingers in expectation creating movement.
Im not saying this is the case, I love doing this during our investigations and events but at the moment no one really know what happens, i hope this helps somewhat even if it does sound like im trying to debunk everything! its not intentional i promise, what you experienced at the castle must of been incredible

Re: TABLE TIPPING
It was brilliant, but something happened in almost every room, which I am a little weary off, it was a fascinating place though.Lots of glasses moving, very exciting, although it is easy to get carried away and think glasses move with no help from us, when maybe you are just so enthralled with it that you move it unintentionally. I don't know, hope to find out one day.
