Maybe we could also see what effect lots of alcohol does

If we ever do a survey of paranormal investigators and enthusiats, which we may well do, then we could ask about caffiene intake and of course alcohol intake too!

Dont hold much hope for me then ,I drink about 8 to 9 mugs of coffee a day ,never touch alcohol though...Bx

Coffee, all I know is that if you drink loads of coffee, you are likely to be awake all night looking for things going bump because your suffering with sleep deprevation

lets not forget medication, I bet there is a connection to people suposably seeing what they think is spirit when they are on medication. Halucinations.
Supose the list is endless, but would be interested to see the results of all of the above.

indeed, I totally agree...some medications can have many side effects that cause someone to see 'think they are seeing ghosts'. AND perfect evidence of this at the moment is that I have just helped a family with unwanted spirit activity and the little girl has been visited by a female spirit and said the lady scared her in the night and had been hurting her tummy etc....however, she is just getting over swine flu and was taking Tamiflu. As a Dispensing Technician I have been following the swine flu thing and associated medications/vaccines very closely and found that over half the youngsters taking Tamiflu (out of 258 at a Primary School) had suffered some/all of the following side effects:
Nausea
Headaches
Stomach ache and cramps
Dazed and confused (not the Led Zep song lol)
Nightmares
Hallucinations
etc etc....
Now, it is NOT the only explanation for the activity in the house and I had to perform a clearing and blessing in the house, but it goes a long way to explaining some of the experiences of the litle girl.
Also, to carry on what was being said earlier, If I know I am going to be conducting any kind of paranormal investigation or house cleansing, I try not to drink anything other than water for 24hours before hand (not even decaf drinks) and I am not a smoker either...BUT I am on regular medication and I make a note of that as well as anything my team mention, that may possibly influence the results of any evidence gained.

I hope we might be able to get the experiment sorted out soon. I have seen Richard the other day but we were conducting an Investigation lol. Anyway I hope that all the SPI team will be able to get together soon and as soon as we manage to get something sorted we will post it on the forum no doubt.
