Re: Mediums
These people could have caused her untold damage or even worse.
People do not respect mediumship like the mediums do,it is a gift from god.The telly mediums don't help at all,all people see is 23mins of so called mediumship they don't know that to do just 1 episode it can take up to 6,7,hours then the best of those hours work is condensed into 23 to 25 mins.and a lot of people will judge you on this.
There is far more genuine mediums that work in the background and do their work quietly.

Re: Mediums
Mediums gain reputation!! No medium can be judged on TV, as they have a schedule & a program to put out, so its difficult to actually see how good or bad a medium is & at the end of the day everyone works differently, but all should come back to having respect for there gift.
Some things one medium does may not be what another would do, but your guides should help you make that decision, sometimes things have to be said to help a situation, or stop something getting out of hand.
As i say, im not a fortune teller, your path is mapped and you have to make those mistakes and put them right yourself, not for me to do that for you.. I will say i am aware of a situation, but the decision isnt mine to give.

Re: Mediums
Trance is a very delicate area & people do not understand how much energy is used or how harmful there actions can be..
I must say i do not like doing trance, eventhough i trust my guides without question, the feeling of being placed on one side while someone else speaks makes me uncomfortable, its my choice, eventhough in a church environment and the few times i have been guided to go into trance, i have had very good reports back.. It still doesnt sway me though.. Its a wonderful feeling to achieve and i can freely let myself go, but its not my choice to work that way, only when called upon or when they are being a little crafty.. ie i had a wonderful spirit come through in a reading last week and she needed to prove herself, the lady present encouraged the situation when i explained and she received a lovely gift of that extra contact..

Re: Mediums
My, news certainly travels fast in Spiritualist circles - as I too have heard about the President of a Church and her Secretary being both disrespectful to the medium in trance, and subsequently to the spirit working through her.
I have never heard of such behaviour in all my 30 years of Spiritualism, and am thoroughly disgusted with the pair of them along with anybody who would try to trivialise such manners.
Other Mediums should be warned about her treatment at the hands of someone who should have known better, whether their knowledge of physical was nil or great.
I have served four Churches as Secretary during my working life for spirit, wherever my home base has been, and it appalls me that someone professing to be spiritual can behave in this manner towards another worker for spirit.

Re: Mediums
I would have thought that if you had full confidence in your guides Dix, that it would not bother you if they took full control whilst you were in trance.
I know all about it taking so much out of a person when doing physical work, and especially when rescue work is undertaken as well, but it brings its own satisfaction of a job well done at the end of the day.
I have been involved with a physical circle for the last 14 years as the 'power-house' of the circle, and sat for transfiguration myself. This was put on hold through another person who sat with us for a while; I was told that I had the ability to become a good transfiguration medium too, but circumstances changed and I am unable to devote the time to it any longer since becoming sole carer to my partner who is virtually like a baby now.
Who knows what the future holds for any of us.

Re: Mediums
I do have full confidence & have been working for a long time, but it is my choice, you have to go were you feel most comfortable!! When i am called upon by spirit to do trance I do give freely of myself, but i dont choose to work that way regularly, im happy with the way i work & so are those that come to see me!!
Sorry to hear about your partner, your beliefs & healing energy will be of help & comfort to them.
Are you a new person to the site or just changed your user name, as the conversation seems to be carrying on.

Re: Mediums
Every medium who stands before the public is judged by the way they work.I have been to many a clairvoyant demonstration and as you come out you can hear the public passing remarks about the demo.I have also been with the mediums before they have demonstrated and have seen how tensed up they are, they give their all in hope that they can bring forth the evidence of life after death and some of the public just class it as entertainment.

I gave healing every day to my partner when he had a five and a half months stay in Hospital last year. He came home again after that time, and he had been given up as a no-hoper at the start of his stay there.
I only joined the site today and have no need to change my user name.
Obviously the conversation seems to be carrying on because I am replying to posts made prior to my own.
I like to have some sort of order in what I do.

Re: Mediums
quote: Mediums gain reputation!!
True, good or bad ones.
A medium stands on their merits and quite often they do not have respect for their own gifts, the way they misuse and abuse them.
Unfortunately, they are not all as honest as they profess to be, and in time there is a tendency to lose what gifts they have as they begin to falter with their deliverance.
Whatever God gives - he takes away just as easily.

Re: Mediums
All mediums are judged when in the public eye, even when doing church work & i believe a good medium is one that is nervous before going infront of an audience, no matter how strong your guides are and your connection with spirit, it can never be taken for granted!
I agree Full house with your comments!!And Reputation is a good thing to help people find genuine mediums, but i must admit it can be a burden, people always call with high hopes and expectation, theyve heard so much about me, and i try to explain it isnt me, i work for spirit.
There are alot of good mediums out there, who are honest, respect there gift & enjoy bringing comfort to those in need.
